Congestive heart failure in dogs – causes
Congestive heart failure in dogs is the inability of the heart to pump blood adequately to the rest of the body. Thus, blood accumulates in the lungs, and fluid accumulates in the body cavities (chest, abdomen or both). This disease affects the lungs and the heart, as it prevents the flow of enough oxygen throughout the body.
The causes of congestive heart failure in dogs can be:

The tablets should be taken orally in a dose range of 0.2 mg to 0.6 mg pimobendan/kg body weight per day. The preferred daily dose is 0.5 mg pimobendan/kg body weight. The amount should be divided into two administrations (0.25 mg/kg body weight each), one-half dose in the morning and the other half in the evening, about 12 hours later. Each dose should be given about one hour before feeding.
The product can be combined with a diuretic treatment, such as furosemide.
To break a single tablet with marking lines in two halves, place the tablet on a flat surface with the marking lines facing up. Hold one half of the tablet and press down the other half.
